Erotic Frank is a very rare movie indeed: a legitimately good Jess Franco movie! This and The Demons are the two of his that I watch for actual pleasure. Yeah the story doesn’t make a lick of sense, but it’s artistic and well shot so I’ll give it thumbs up.
As for the Last Horror Film? I *LOVE* the hell out of that movie. Joe Spinell and Caroline Munro had such good chemistry together, the meta aspect of the movie-within-a-movie was very clever, and the commentary on horror movies and their effect on society was well stated without being too on the nose.
Rough in places? Sure, but that doesn’t stop the movie from being hella fun. Easily one of my favorites of the Section 3 list!
